We are excited to kick off The Power of Compassion story series with Charles Obuk. We will feature 40 stories for 40 days in celebration of our fourth anniversary this September, these stories are meant to encourage people from all social spaces to embrace the spirit of generosity and to celebrate the heroes that selflessly make a difference in the lives of others. Growing up as a child, I was fed compassion and kindness by those who cared to give them to me.  My mother had a very unsuccessful relationship with my dad, with whom she had two children - I and my elder sister.  However, they had split up before I was born in 1997. It was only four years when she moved into a new relationship and left us in the custody of her brother, Mr. Olung David (R.I.P).  This was the beginning of my encounter with compassion and kindness firsthand.  At

It is the mid-year already and we are so grateful for the far we have come.  Amidst all that could be happening in your life ( it could be good or bad), howbeit you paused a bit to be glad that you are still here. As we celebrate four years of impacting lives through humane storytelling, we have launched two major events. Today, we highlight one of them:  The 40 Day story Campaign on the Power of Compassion. We have all been shown some kindness (in my view). If you have not,  I hope that someday, you get to experience this strong force. The purpose of this story drive is to connect you and me to the stories that make us more humane, stories that remind us of the values we are either born with or those that we cultivate along the way, Values like Compassion make a very big difference.
