We are excited for this new month and we believe more good things are going to happen.  Thank you so much for always  sparing time to read, comment and share our stories. You have been a great audience : we hope we can still walk this journey with you. Have a fruitful new month. Our Stories this month will center around young men and women from all over the world that are working towards making a difference in the lives of others.  Our first story for the month is from Nkuubi Dominic Savio, founder of Akilipana Initiative , a non profit organization in Uganda that is empowering lives with skills for sustainability. He shares with us his story. What inspired you to start AkiliPana Initiative? I have always been passionate about positively impacting people’s lives. The best way I could do this,  was by providing a lasting solution on how to earn an income. I have done this by sharing entrepreneurial skills through AkiliPana Initiative.

Beautiful in my Skin

Many women all over the world are struggling with body shaming. Some have really hated their bodies to the extent that they do not find themselves worthy to appear in the public.  Others have risen up to define the odds with an attitude: we are all beautiful in our own skin.  Meet Grace Shisha as she shares her story on body shaming and how she found her path to loving her skin .  I hated my body and all its entirety. Each  time I saw my thin friends I was filled with admiration because I saw them happy, free to express themselves, they were not selective on their attires, they really looked good on everything they wore. I limited myself from a happy life of waking up every morning with a free spirit to enjoy the good things of this world. I ate lemons, starved myself  because I thought being small was the only way to go.  I doubted myself. I did not feel smart in whatever outfit I was wearing . Each time I got out of the house,  I felt like all eyes were on me and I was be

There are so many Ugandans living below the poverty line. Some cannot afford a good education for their children, for others a meal, descent dressing, a roof under their heads and meeting good medical needs are hard to come by. Meet Martin Okalany Mugabi: A Ugandan humanitarian that has championed provision of basic needs to the most vulnerable through his organization: Basic Life Uganda. Be inspired with his story 🤗  What inspired you to start Basic Life Uganda?  My Inspiration to start Basic Life Uganda was largely my life story. I grew up in an environment were there was a lot of struggle accessing  the basic needs of life. I lost my father at the age of nine, and life was not easy at all. My prayer was that my siblings and I could have all our  basic needs met. As I grew older, life became more complex,  I survived by the Grace of God. A number of people with golden hearts played different huge roles in my up bringing. Martin Says :  Looking back at my early y ears of

Gratitude Stored in my heart

Gratitude is the sweetest thing in a seekers life – in all human life. If there is gratitude in your heart, then there will be tremendous sweetness in your eyes.” Sri Chinmoy   In my life walk, I have grown to appreciate the beauty in a " thank you " . At at times we take for granted the things that really deserve our gratitude ignoring the fact that appreciation is the greatest craving of human kind .   The more grateful i have been, the more beauty I have seen even in the things others would call petty.❤️ I would love to personally thank these individuals that devoted their time to share their stories about the lock down effect on them, the lessons they learnt that changed their view of life. It was not easy for them however they shared their stories honestly even when they were ugly. These are people I call my heroes. People that refuse to stay in their story because it has some mishaps but rather go out there and do something great to make it better. Everyone
