Hey August!! Talking about the Walk for Impact

Hurray!!! August is here and this only means we are a month away from our fourth anniversary.

We have organized our second charity walk to support vulnerable children at Nkono Memorial School, Namutumba District.



We first had the charity walk in September 2019, by then, we were only turning one and we wanted to give back. We are grateful for all the amazing people that showed up,  you believed in a cause that we were by then only figuring out.


In the heavy rain, together with 200 participants, we walked to support children with autism, a neurological disability that affects social interaction. We raised two million Uganda Shillings that were used to renovate the school structure at the Dorna center for Autism in Ntinda. 



Two years after Covid, we are back, all because of our special friend, Catherine Kantono, a fellow at Teach for Uganda who highlighted the plights faced by the learners at Nkono Memorial School, from overpopulation to missing meals, examinations, and bats making a home in the classrooms.

Our first event to support these children was the bonfire nights and stories that happened on 28th May 2022. We raised a total of one million and two hundred Uganda Shillings, thank you once more. However, we were still hungry for more, hungry to do bigger for these children and here we are with; Walk for Impact.



The event will happen on the 24th of September 2022, beginning at the UMA Show Grounds at 8:00 am. To support this cause, you are required to pay an entrance fee of  20.000UGX, this comes with the walk for impact t-shirt.

 You can also consider becoming a walk for impact partner at 5000UGX that's if you would love to attend the walk but can't make it. Consider donating in-kind materials too, Books, pens, pencils, bags, and sets. 

Our target is to raise twenty million Uganda shillings, and with generous givers like you, we can make school a comfortable place for these children. Kindly share words with your friends and their friends, we need all the help we can get.
