Thank you Dad
My father has impacted me in so many ways, he is a caring father and husband to my mother. My mom is a career woman while my dad owns his business, he helps my mum with house chores and dropping off my siblings and me to school, he is a good cook too. These are things that are rare in Africa, where the husband takes on the female roles and he doesn’t mind.
I remember when I was to gain admission into the university, he followed me to the School interview lol, and was answering all the questions on my behalf and the interviewer was like can’t she talk, and besides I never saw any of my mates come with their fathers๐, guess what, we later found out that the interviewer is my dad’s junior sister friend, then the interview went smoothly from there.
I have learned from him to be resilient, and respectful and oh my father is such a giver. In fact, between him and my mum, I don’t know who loves giving and helping people the most. This has shaped my life, no doubt I found myself in the humanitarian space.
